  1. The interest is computed based on the actual number of days in a year i.e. 365 days for a non-leap year and366 daysfor a leap year. The tenor of Deposit is calculated in number of days.
  2. The above cardrates are applicable to depositsless than INR 3 Crore.
  3. Interest earned on NRO fixed deposits are taxable as per applicable rates according to Income Tax Act 1961 as amended from time-to-time.
  4. In case of NRE deposit no interest will be paid if the NRE Deposit is liquidated before the completion of 1 year from the date of booking.
  5. In case of premature withdrawal of the deposit, interest will not be paid at the originally contracted rate. In such cases interest will be paid at the applicable rate of interest for the duration which the deposit is maintained with us minus premature withdrawal penal rate as follows:
    1. Fixed Deposit less than INR 300 Lakhs – 1%
    2. Fixed Deposits greater than or equal to INR 300 Lakhs - 1%
  6. In case of premature withdrawal of fixed deposit: The Interest rate applicable for premature closure will be lower of the rate for the original /contracted tenure for which the deposit has been booked OR the rate as prevailing on the date of deposit for the tenure for which the of deposit has been in force with the Bank.
